For reliable results

Calibrate with an appropriate reference as directed in the manual. Mix the sample evenly, use a clean prism and clean the sample well after each reading. Brix is a concentration measurement; ingredients other than sugar can affect results. This is not a direct alcohol meter, and readings from fermented liquids require appropriate correction. Samples above 35% Brix, including most undiluted honey, are outside its range. No accredited calibration certificate is included.
